Crawling and big food and stairs, oh my!

So now that Bubbas is a big 8 month old, he can pull himself up on anything to stand, crawl up the stairs, eat almost anything that Mommy and Daddy eat, and crawl like its nobody's business. What a stud! He is growing so fast. And he wants to walk so bad. He has a bad habit of pulling himself up on something and then turning around and trying to walk... since he obviously doesn't have the walking thing down yet he will get 2-3 steps and then fall.. he totally stands in his crib now, and when he is feeling really froggy he will use his little teeth and gnaw on the top of the crib. so there are some little teeth marks... what a character he is, determined, and a mamma's boy.

It has been really nice lately now that Rob and Monica are back. They sometimes end up hanging out at our place, Afton and Tommy have friends that they can play with here. Monica is about ready to push little Makenzie out any minute too! We can't wait to meet her! I was just watching the baby story today and started bawling when the little boy was born. How amazing these little babies are!

Teething is hard, and when they have a growth spurt, and when they won't eat... but everything else, so amazing! what am i saying, it is all amazing!

I am a little excited. Hopefully tomorrow we are finally going to see The Dark Knight. I have heard it is pretty intense, but wouldn't that make sense? Didn't the cast members talk about how Heath couldn't come out of character, and really had become the joker in real life? Isn't that what inevitably killed him? Creepy and Intense would be the perfect words to describe it. Nonetheless, I am still excited to go.

I am really excited though about Saturday! Breaking Dawn, the final book in the Twilight series comes out. Well, Friday night at mid-night, but I am not going to go wait in line... maybe.... we will see.... anyway, it is really sad how when you get into a series, and then you are done reading, after becoming so emotionally involved with the characters, you feel like you lose a friend. I feel so empty when I finish, and sad, and I want to know how the rest of their life is. it's like i want to add them to my Christmas card list..(if i had one that is) I know, it really is sad, but I know only one person who didn't like the Twilight series, and everyone else knows what I am talking about. The mild obsession, the need to read as much as possible because if you put the book down you feel like you are missing something... Yes, sad but true. Therefore, i will be unavailable pretty much from saturday morning till i finish the book. and then i may just need to read it again for good measure, take my time the second time... If you are a twilight fan, and haven't already done so, i would recommend checking out stephanie myers website. she has deleted parts of chapters, and whole extra chapters that were cut out, that make for some interesting reading and character development.

proper lie-in

I love these Sunday's when we get to have a proper lie-in. naps, munching, church, movies.... enjoying my family. Today I got called back into teach the 8 yr olds with Ricky at Church... I feel bad for the kids, I have no patience for their.... stuff.... but, luckily i have learned one thing, that treats work wonders! I am a little worried because that is the time when Brandon has his good nap of the day, and with the noisy kids, there is no way he is going to sleep. I will have to see how it goes.

I am excited for this week coming up. We have family that just moved back into town and hopefully there will be some good growth for our business. We do document preparation for a couple of different companies, and Ricky customizes guns, and also builds targets that are great to train for quick self defense shots. Someday we will have our websites up...

Speaking of websites and companies... check out our friends new website.. www.survivall72.com. Great stuff!

Meeting Brandon

So tonight I had the opportunity to meet the man that my son is named after. We had him, his wife and their two girls over for dinner. I would have to say that I was in no way dissapointed. I was very happy to see that my son was named after such a nice guy. wow. I was even a little nervous before he came over. I mean, that is a lot of build up. it was a little crazy because baby Brandon had a very rough day, but fun none the less.

Speaking of Baby Brandon. I swear i saw the outline of a couple of little teeth on his bottom gum line, which may explain why he was crying all day... it is so fun how even the smallest things are so exciting for us. not that he was in pain and crying, but that he may be getting teeth in!

Long Day

It amazes me how quickly the days are going lately. I can't believe that the week is already half over, when it feels like yesterday was Sunday. I never imagined that staying at home would keep me so busy, if not more so than when I was in an office 40+ hours a week. Yet I am also learning that just because I am home, doesn't mean that I can just do what I want when I want. I find that keeping in touch with friends and family is more difficult, and that despite my desires, I have almost disappeared from the radar. I hope that as Brandon grows up, and becomes a little less, high maintenance, that I can be more social again. Either that, or he will be the crazy kid that is in to everything.... He is adorable regardless and I wouldn't have it any other way.

So I ran into an old boss today at Krispy Kreme and it made me seriously miss what I used to do for them. I was very tempted to offer my time, but utilized restraint. I left my phone number and a bug in the managers ear, so if they wanted to discuss a part time consulting situation I might be up for that... (here i talk about adding to my schedule when i was just complaining about not having enough time :) ).... It was nice though to see my old comrades. People that were a part of my life when I first moved to Utah...

Oh, how funny life is. Ricky and I have almost been married for 6 years! Our son is almost 6 months old. We have been in our house for almost a year. It has all gone by so fast.

Hopefully Ricky and I will get better at this whole blogging thing... we are learning..

Rolling Over

So our little guy is getting so big. He rolled over from his tummy to his back twice all by himself last night! He is also starting to practice sitting up on his own, and is doing so well. A couple more weeks and he should be sitting up all on his own! We are going to try real hard to post a video... We got the biggest laughs out of Brandon the other night, big belly laughs for like 5 minutes... it was the coolest. Anyway, we are awaiting Brandon's blessing this coming Sunday. What a big boy he is!
